What was their problem?

Shower Story came to SLAM Strategy with a familiar story (pun intended!). Despite having an innovative product that customers loved, they were stuck at a persistent performance plateau. They were consistently seeing a 2 to 3 Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), which left them unable to scale.

This stagnation created a difficult balancing act. They needed brand exposure but they also needed that exposure to translate into immediate, profitable sales. They needed help to scale at the same time.

The challenges

With the Costco opportunity on the horizon, the pressure was on to scale quickly, yet the client was understandably cautious about increasing spend when previous efforts had yielded diminishing returns. This required us to find a way to prove scalability without risking significant capital on unproven tactics.

We adapted our approach by implementing a quick win methodology, monitoring campaign performance at a granular level to identify top-performing creative and audiences immediately. By proactively cutting wasteful spend and doubling down on what worked, we were able to demonstrate consistent profitability in real time.

 

The results

The most significant outcome of our partnership was Shower Story successfully securing a position in Costco across Australia.

The performance campaigns delivered immediate, high-impact growth, achieving a 600% ROAS and a 300% increase in conversions within just 80 days. This surge in profitability was supported by a 1300% increase in clicks and a dominant 63% impression share, successfully transforming Shower Story from an online store into a name found on shelves nationwide.
