The L.Eyes & Co products had already established a strong and loyal following within the Māori community when they approached SLAM Strategy, a testament to their brand’s authenticity and connection.

However, despite this solid foundation, they were struggling to expand their reach and break into new markets to significantly increase sales and profitability.

What we did

To help L.Eyes & Co break through their revenue ceiling, we developed a comprehensive, multi-channel advertising strategy. The approach went beyond simple ad management and into focusing on a full-funnel strategy. One designed to capture audience attention, drive engagement and convert sales.

We implemented a paid advertising strategy across Facebook and Instagram. The core of this was Reels and Story advertising to find people when they were scrolling.

Our campaigns were built to be highly visual and engaging to capture the audience and scroll-heavy nature of both Facebook and Instagram.

We focused on Reels and Stories to tell a compelling brand story while showcasing the product’s effectiveness and its unique cultural connection.

The challenges

The key challenge we faced was not related to the product itself but rather to the initial investment required to achieve profitable scale.

L.Eyes & Co was hesitant to increase its advertising spend to reach the minimum critical mass needed for the algorithms to optimise effectively and start the aggressive scaling process.

We adapted our approach by focusing on quickly improving the immediate ROI. We leveraged our pay-for-performance model to demonstrate our commitment, effectively sharing the risk and building the confidence L’eyes needed.

This solution secured the necessary budget increase, allowing us to implement our full scaling strategy.

The results

The strategic investment and creative overhaul delivered an immediate and profound return, validating the move to increase the advertising budget. Within just 90 days, the campaign achieved an astounding 2100% ROAS.

This unprecedented profitability was driven by a dramatic surge in traffic and highly effective conversion funnel performance. We generated a 500% increase in clicks and a corresponding 600% increase in conversions, demonstrating that the highly targeted traffic driven by our campaigns was qualified and motivated to purchase.

These metrics collectively fueled a monumental 700% increase in total sales for the brand. Our meticulous optimisation efforts secured a dominant 53% impression share across key Meta advertising platforms.

This achievement signifies that L'eyes was consistently capturing more than half of all available ad exposure within their target market.

Conclusion

L.Eyes & Co had an incredible story and a loyal community, but they were stuck in a niche market and unable to reach their full potential.
