How to cancel domain name auto-renewal
Domain names are set to auto renew when they are due to expire. If you want to cancel the renewal, reply to the expiry notice email before the stated cancellation date and request that the domain renewal be cancelled.
How does auto-renewal work?
When a domain is approaching expiry, an expiry notice is sent letting you know that the domain is set to auto renew. Further expiry notices may also be sent before the renewal is processed.
How do I cancel auto-renewal?
- Reply to the expiry notice email.
- State that you want to cancel the domain renewal.
- Send your request before the cancellation date listed in the notice.
What happens after that?
If auto-renewal remains active, the domain will be renewed automatically when it expires.
