How often will I get an invoice?
This varies depending on your agreement, but generally it will be at the start of each month.
How does billing work?
Billing depends on your engagement type. Retainer and monthly clients are invoiced at the start of each month for the previous month's work, while project clients follow a deposit-and-instalment schedule outlined in their contract.
Retainer and monthly clients
All of our retainer and monthly clients will receive an invoice by email at the start of the month for work completed in the previous month.
This means where projects or tasks have crossed over multiple months, you may see it on multiple invoices. Rest assured you have not been charged twice! But if we completed one hour of work in August, and one hour in September, you will see one hour on each invoice.
Project clients
If you're working with us on a project, you will typically have a payment structure outlined in your contract. A common example looks like this:
- 50% deposit due on sign off
- 25% instalment due on completion of key milestones.
- 25% instalment due on final delivery
